On our recent trip to Singapore, we stayed at Hotel Boss, a seemingly nondescript hotel near Lavender and Bugis MRT stations. But what’s so special about this hotel that we chose to stay here, you might want to ask? Simple – it has incredible panoramic city views we didn’t expect we could ever see in Singapore, not to mention its close proximity to the cultural and shopping attractions right in the middle of the city.
Let us walk you through our Hotel Boss stay experience to give you a better picture of what we’re talking about.
Arrival and check-in
We were dog tired from our flight but we were just so grateful to check in early so we could have a quick rest before we set off for the day. In case you didn’t know, Hotel Boss gives a special early check-in (11am), late check-out (3pm) perk for those who book directly from their website. Who wouldn’t want to take advantage of this? We know we did!
Our Premier Balcony room
We stayed in a swoon-worthy Premier Balcony room. It is equipped with a queen bed, a chic armchair and basic room facilities including a 40” LED TV, coffee and tea making facilities with drinking water, mini refrigerator, electronic safe, USB charging port, hairdryer and toiletries.
But what we love the most here is the private balcony with sweeping city views! Whether you’re travelling with your partner or with friends, the Premier Balcony room will certainly kick your Singapore adventure up a notch, quite literally! Take it from us.

More hotel features
Although we managed to relax for a bit at the Sky Terrace on the 4th floor, we were unable to use the outdoor pool and gym due to time constraints. Make sure you don’t miss these amenities like we did. Read more interesting features that we love about Hotel Boss on TripZillaSTAYS.
Dining options
There are two restaurants within the hotel – Papasan 17 on the ground floor, and Jubilicious on the fourth floor. They serve daily buffet breakfast from 6.30am until 10.30am. While both restaurants offer Asian and Western cuisines, Jubilicious serves food from a Halal certified kitchen endorsed by the Islamic Council of Singapore (MUIS).
By the way, for more dining options, you may indulge in gastronomic delights at the eateries and restaurants located right within the hotel block. We highly recommend that you try the Founder Bak Kut Teh and Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice .
Another popular local restaurant you shouldn’t miss while in Singapore is the Swee Choon Tim Sum Restaurant. The good news is, it’s just a short walk from Hotel Boss. We walked our way from the restaurant to Hotel Boss after our sumptuous dinner. There’s plenty of food choices here but make sure you try their Xiao Long Bao and salted egg buns.
Singapore attractions near Hotel Boss
Hotel Boss is located at 500 Jalan Sultan, near Lavender and Bugis MRT stations. This makes all the other top tourist attractions in Singapore accessible by public transport. In addition, the hotel is just a few minutes walk to Kampong Glam, Bugis and Little India. If you’re a foodie, shopaholic or culture vulture, you’ll love the convenience and accessibility of Hotel Boss. We guarantee you that!
Our verdict
We’re giving Hotel Boss a two thumbs up! From our comfy Premier Balcony room with jaw-dropping city views to its convenient location and a wide range of dining options, we can say that Hotel Boss truly won us over!
