In the heart of the Philippine capital’s bustling business district lies a Makati hotel that serves as a beacon for Malaysian hospitality. It takes everyone’s preferences into consideration, as it is a Halal-certified establishment. A true oasis for urbanites, Berjaya Makati Hotel offers weary travellers respite from the city’s unending thrum.
As much as we loved being so near everything on this side of Metro Manila, we also valued peace and quiet at the end of the day. We were in search of a place to hunker down after traversing the city, and this hotel in Makati ticked off everything on our list. It was cosy, convenient, and above all, secure. Berjaya Makati Hotel is one of the first properties in Metro Manila to successfully adhere to COVID-19 protocols, assuring guests that their safety and health are at the tippy top of this Makati hotel’s priorities.
Upon arriving, the first thing we noticed was the stringent checking of guests’ temperatures at all hotel entrances. Visitors were also required to fill out Health Declaration Checklists, which put us more at ease. Other proactive measures such as social distancing, regular sanitising, and limiting lifts’ carrying capacity were also carried out. As far as keeping the hotel ready for travel and tourism’s ‘new normal’, Berjaya Makati Hotel exceeds expectations.
The Makati hotel also aces service and accommodations. Staff were constantly warm and accommodating; we felt at home the entire time. We learned that Berjaya Makati Hotel’s Premier Rooms were recently given a facelift, so its amenities afforded us a completely comfortable and hassle-free stay. Seeing as we were in the city, one of our considerations in finding a hotel in Makati was the availability of an indoor swimming pool to escape the heat — Berjaya Makati Hotel offered this, too.
Perhaps what we loved most about this hotel in Makati was that it gave us the best of both worlds. We were always a stone’s throw away from the rest of the area: malls, pharmacies, restaurants, open spaces for walking — take your pick. Yet on days when we didn’t want to step out even for a bite, Berjaya Makati Hotel’s in-house restaurants offered superb dine-in and room service options.
If you haven’t pinned down where to stay in Makati that’s modern yet homey, and conveniently located in the centre yet safe, your search is over. Read the rest of this Berjaya Makati hotel review to know more about your next Muslim-friendly city dwelling in the Philippines.

The Deluxe Studio room is as well-appointed as the Deluxe Room. Wooden furnishings and its classic layout set the tone for being your lush home away from home! But there’s more to this room, literally — it offers more space at 47 sqm. With more room to stretch, follows more room for well-deserved rest and recreation. Think the Deluxe Room, but its upgraded counterpart. A business hotel with a heart for leisure, Berjaya Makati Hotel’s living spaces are the epitome of balance. Even with the way it is designed, guests are treated to the perfect in-between. The Premier Room merges classic and contemporary. Its interiors are both cosy and chic. While it is made sleek by muted tones of brown, white, and grey, the space remains warm and inviting, thanks to mood lighting and tasteful wooden furnishings.
We couldn’t have asked for better accommodations during our stay at this hotel in Makati. The Premier Studio had all the amenities we required, plus it was a beautifully designed space to come home to every day. What we loved most about it was its living nook, which was separate from the bedroom. At 47 sqm, it was more than enough room for two travellers eager to establish our own comfort zone in the city. Berjaya Makati Hotel’s Premier Studios are newly renovated, so you get to enjoy brand new features when you book this offering.
