Set atop a limestone cliff, Amorita Resort gives breathtaking views of the vibrant tropical landscape of Panglao, Bohol. It is quietly hidden on the Southern edge of Alona Beach, where some of the best eco-marine life can be found.
Before this trip, Amorita Resort was at the bottom of our priorities. Our only goal was to see the Chocolate Hills and meet the world-famous Tarsier. We did not really think about where to stay in Bohol, just as long as we can fulfil those missions. But once we saw the amazing offerings of this stunning resort in Panglao, we made a massive change in our itinerary!
From the moment we were welcomed by the courteous staff, to us enjoying the outdoor and water activities, up until our departure, Amorita Resort gave us a perfect taste of what Bohol has to offer. We were especially impressed by the resort’s venture into more sustainable practises through the new Project ECHO programme. Our stay here truly exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to be back for another memorable retreat. Read our full Amorita Resort review to find out more about this world-class resort in Bohol.
Deluxe Room
The Deluxe Room may be Amorita’s most basic accommodation, but the minute we entered the room, we felt like it was a suite! The room is equipped with most of the amenities of its more expensive counterparts, which include a complimentary minibar, coffee and tea facility, flat screen TV with amplifiers, in-room safe, and free WiFi. Our favourite part? The complimentary minibar, of course! We enjoyed the healthy especially curated calamansi and lemon grass drinks, all for FREE! Thanks, Amorita!
Check AvailabilityJunior Suite
Since we wanted to know how it feels like to sleep in Amorita’s suites, we decided to upgrade! The Junior Suite proved to be more spacious and has its own patio where you can start your day with a breath of fresh air. Although we did not get to enjoy the view of the Bohol Sea, the tranquil garden view was a relaxing alternative!
Check AvailabilitySea View Suite
Two of our friends joined us on our trip so instead of getting an additional room, the friendly staff of Amorita suggested the more luxurious Sea View Suite. Once we heard the suite’s name, we knew we were making the right choice! Imagine the Junior Suite’s room size doubled, your own living room with daybeds where our friends comfortably slept, a dining area, and a private balcony with outdoor bathtub overlooking the entire Bohol Sea!
Check Availability1 Bedroom Suite / 2 Bedroom Suite
This room category has luxury written all over it! The ultra-luxurious and spacious bedroom suites are perfect for your barkada or family getaway. We were lucky enough to step foot in their 2 Bedroom Suite where we felt like celebrities enjoying a vacation away from the limelight. The private balcony gave us an exhilarating view of the Bohol landscape. It was truly breathtaking!
Check AvailabilityGarden Villa
Enjoy more privacy with the Garden Villa. Imagine yourself being surrounded by lush greenery while plunging in your own pool or taking afternoon naps in your private patio! The moment we saw the exclusive pool, we instantly felt the urge to strip down to our swimsuits and take a dip. It was that enticing!
Check AvailabilityOcean Villa
The Ocean Villa is basically the same as the Garden Villa, but with the Bohol sea as your backdrop! It was such an amazing experience to dip in the pool while enjoying the sun and looking at the stunning view of the entire Panglao landscape. With all the amenities that Ocean Villa has to offer, we had second thoughts about even stepping out of the resort throughout our stay!

Book NowExplore the diverse marine life in Panglao
Bohol is known for its world-class diving and snorkelling sites. At Amorita Resort, you will be given the opportunity to explore the underwater biodiversity in their own marine sanctuary. Since we didn’t have much experience in diving, it was great to know that Amorita Resort has its own diving centre with professional divers who taught us the essentials of diving! It was a surreal experience seeing the unexploited waters of Bohol, especially with the colourful corals and different types of marine creatures. If you’re that lucky, you might even experience close encounters with the elusive manta rays, cute dolphins, harmless sharks and colossal whales!
Relax and soothe your mind with the wellness and fitness offerings
Amorita Resort has wellness facilities that remove all the accumulated stress from the hustle and bustle of the city life. We started our holistic retreat by navigating the nature-ridden Amorita property using their complimentary bicycles. Then, we headed over to the Sea Tree Spa for the traditional Filipino hilot and Asian healing rituals done by their expert masseurs. Ahh, this is by far the most soothing massage and spa experience we’ve ever had. After that, we joined their free yoga sessions and art expression workshop which are available for small groups.
Have a delectable feast at Saffron Restaurant and Tomar Tapas x Bar
We completed our Amorita experience by treating our taste buds (and stomachs) to a gustatory feast at the resort’s Saffron Restaurant and Tomar Tapas x Bar! Saffron Restaurant offers a reinterpretation of Bohol’s authentic specialties, alongside a wide array of Continental and Filipino food choices. On the other hand, the Tomar Tapas x Bar provides a Neo-cultural experience with its reinvention of Spanish favourites, including tapas, paellas, and pintxos.
For lunch, we ate at Saffron and ordered a local favourite called Chicken Binakol. It is a popular dish in the Visayas region made of native chicken stewed in coconut juice with lemongrass. It tasted like Chicken Tinola, but with coconut juice! It was really delightful. Dinner came, and we decided to dine at Tomar Tapas x Bar. Obviously, what stood out the most was their delicious spread of tapas!
Amorita Resort, along with the other properties under the One-of Collection, will undergo changes to become a more sustainable leisure destination through a programme called Project ECHO. For over 10 years, it has been known for its luxury services, but this time, people will know it as a place that also values its surroundings and the people of Bohol. Some of the initiatives being worked on include applying organic modern architecture and green designs, engaging with the local communities and preserving cultural heritage.
Your children will have the most wonderful time with the different child-centred activities offered in Amorita. It all starts with how all children below 12 years old can stay here for FREE! The little ones are then being spoiled with treats such as popsicles, candy buffet and eat-all-you-can ice cream during meal time. They also have a playground and a daily happy hour for kids where they can enjoy activities that cater to a variety of interests including cookie-decorating, pizza-making, film showings, and arts and crafts. Oh, did we mention that they have babysitting services for parents’ convenience? With all these awesome treats, we will surely bring our little ones when we’re back for another visit!
Stay in shape while on vacation at Amorita’s gym, complete with treadmill, stationary bikes, cross trainer, weights, and other equipment. You can also vigorously exercise while exploring the Bohol countryside with the resort’s bicycles or enjoy the Bohol sea with the free use of their kayaks and stand-up paddle boards! We were very happy to explore the five-hectare property of Amorita using their bicycles, and it was a nature trip like no other!
