“The location is good, not far from the Harbor Bay ferry terminal and near to the city.”
Sometimes, we all just need a short and relaxing weekend retreat. Yet, the thought of planning might seem a little too daunting – we all want somewhere near, cheap, fuss-free to get away to. We stumbled across Allium Batam Hotel during our search – P.S. Batam is located just a short 50-minute ferry ride away from Singapore! – and we were sold. We decided to give it a shot, and what can we say? Bring us back, ANYTIME!
Allium Batam is a homely and modern abode perfectly suited to fulfill all your needs. With 211 immaculately designed guestrooms and suites, friendly hotel staff and a prime location at the heart of Nagoya, it’s basically the perfect accommodation to retreat to after a busy day of non-stop activities. Plus, it’s located within a 5-minute drive from the Harbour Bay ferry terminal in Batam!
On top of that, Allium Batam is a muslim-friendly hotel which serves halal food in the restaurant and lounge. Do note that the hotel doesn’t serve alcohol, but there’s no stopping you from bringing your own alcoholic drinks for a room or suite party!
Deluxe Room
Despite being the smallest room available at the hotel, the Deluxe Room is cozy and extremely comfortable! We were pleasantly surprised to find a splendid view of the lively Nagoya street laid out before our eyes upon drawing the curtains. The windows are pretty much soundproof as well, so we were able to get an undisturbed night’s sleep even with all the activity going on beside the hotel! There’s a writing table available should you need to do any work, as well as a marble bathtub for you to soak in and let all your worries melt away.
Executive Room
The Executive Room boasts bigger beds than the Deluxe Room, making it suitable for family getaways! If you thought the view from the Deluxe Room was great, just wait till you see the view from the Executive rooms. These rooms are located on the 3rd, 15th, and 16th floors, and reward guests with gorgeous ocean views as well as views of Nagoya Street. We absolutely couldn’t resist snapping away with our camera!
Executive Deluxe Room
Believe it or not, but this room is double the size of the Executive Room! It’s so incredibly spacious, we could literally dance around the room without bumping into anything at all. It also comes with a separate living room for your ultimate comfort, where you can have a cosy night in just chilling on the sofa and watching television.
Family Room
As the name suggests, this is the perfect accommodation for your family. The Family Room features two absolute comfort queen size beds and can accommodate up to three adults and one child. Now, you can enjoy your family staycation without squeezing into a small bed!
One-Bedroom Apartment
If you’re looking for something luxurious during your stay, the one-bedroom apartment is well-equipped to suit all your needs. It fits two people comfortably, and also has a sitting, dining, and kitchen area, as well as a washing machine! Catering predominantly to those who are intending to stay for long periods of time in Batam, the apartment has everything you could possibly need. You can even whip up home cooked meals in the kitchen. With all these amenities, we won’t blame you if you’ll find it supremely hard to leave this cosy apartment!
Two-Bedroom Apartment
4 people can spread out in absolute comfort in this two-bedroom apartment, which is more than twice the size of the one-bedroom apartment! We couldn’t resist snoozing on the extra large king sized beds with quality bed linens; it was as if we were lying on a giant and soft marshmallow. It’s the ideal accommodation for couples on double dates or families of 4 looking to explore Batam!
Three-Bedroom Apartment
Travelling with your extended family or relatives to Batam? No problem at all! This three-bedroom apartment can fit 6 people easily. The best part is that it comes at an extremely affordable price-tag! It’s great for large families to bond during a holiday together, and just bask in each other’s company all day before retreating to their plush beds for the night.
Allium Suite
Located discreetly at the end of the corridor, the Allium Suite ensures you get the utmost privacy and exclusivity you need for an undisturbed stay. You get a separate living area as well, so you’re able to entertain guests within the comforts of your suite. The large marble bathroom and shower is also to die for, where you can luxuriate in style and take a good long refreshing bath.
Samali Suite
This spectacular suite will make you feel like royalty with its lush carpeted flooring and unique golden headboard. The living area can accommodate at least twelve people comfortably, especially if you’re looking to host family gatherings or business meetings. We were treated to a panoramic view of Batam’s skyline, and also got to admire the mesmerizing sunset in the evening, right from our suite!

Chill over drinks, play billiards on the game room or play in the kids corner
After all the day’s activities, cap your night off with drinks at The Lounge. We loved the fruity mocktails and jazzy tunes that had us tapping our feet throughout the night. Not so much into drinks and booze? Challenge your friends to play billiards on the game room or let the kids (and the kids at heart) enjoy various play facilities at the kids corner.
Pamper yourself with a relaxing massage
You definitely can’t leave Batam without having a soothing massage session! There’s a massage area available on level 3 of the hotel that offers an extensive menu of soothing massage treatments – we guarantee that you’ll be thoroughly spoilt for choice. We hate to admit this, but we had such a good nap during our massage session!
Host meetings with a view at the Lotus
Take your meetings to greater heights literally by hosting it at the exquisite Lotus Meeting Room located on the 17th level of the hotel. As you engage in discussions, you can feast your eyes to stunning panoramic views of Batam’s Nagoya district through the meeting room’s glass windows. This will definitely stir your creative juices even more!
