Indonesian Rijsttafel

So impressed were Dutch settlers by Indonesia’s delicious flavours that they adapted many as an elaborate ritual meal known as rijsttafel, a Dutch word that literally translates as ‘rice table.’ Luckily for modern food aficionados, rijsttafel survived Indonesia’s independence and today consists of small side dishes that convey the archipelago’s many taste sensations, textures and degrees of spiciness.

Indonesian rijsttafel at The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah pays homage to this rich culinary tradition, with nine classic and sumptuous Indonesian and Balinese dishes available for lunch or dinner, and served at The Restaurant or in your villa for a minimum of two persons.

  • IDR 950,000 for two persons, excluding beverages
  • A 24-hour advance reservation is required

Price is subject to 11% government tax and 10% service charge
