With its 150 expansive serviced apartments, Lanson Place Bukit Ceylon Services Residences in Kuala Lumpur has all the perfect amenities for eager guests like us. They offer exquisitely designed and fully furnished one- to three-bedroom accommodations that provide luxury living without being intimidating to guests.

Seeing the hotel’s outdoor Olympic-sized swimming pool complete with loungers and umbrellas immediately set the mood for lazy late afternoon cocktails.

When we entered the hotel’s reception area, the staff were courteous and helpful enough to see to it that our hand-carried luggage were well taken care of aside from our day packs. Checking in was smooth too. When we entered our room, we were instantly blown away by its lavishness and sophisticated in-room facilities.

Overall, we were happy that we chose to stay at Lanson Place Bukit Ceylon Serviced Residences. It became our luxury home for a few days while exploring the rich culture and vibrant life in Malaysia’s capital city.

Rooms

Elegant and relaxing, all rooms feature a kitchenette with cookery &
cutleries, coffee machine, washer & dryer, and many other in-room facilities

One-Bedroom Residensi

Our fully-furnished room with large living room wooden doors actually felt like home. Although not all rooms in this room type have balconies, ours had one and the sweeping city view from here was marvellous. Inside our bedroom, the inviting well-made king-sized bed got the better of us. It was so hard to get up every morning because our bed was, for lack of a better term, sleep-inducing. That’s how comfy it was!

One-Bedroom Deluxe Residensi

All members of our group were already converged at the One-Bedroom Deluxe Residensi, where two of our friends stayed. The first thing we noticed once inside was the size of the living room. We didn’t expect it to be that spacious and modern-looking. The light-coloured interior was pleasing the eyes, and the caramel-accented neutral-coloured living room carpet was so plush, it reminded us of the pricey hotel suites we’ve been to before.

Two-Bedroom Residensi

After having a hearty lunch at one of the fine restaurants just near the hotel, we decided to take a power nap back at the hotel. Before heading back to our quarters, we dropped our female companions to their Two-Bedroom Residensi, but not without taking a peek inside their housing, of course.

At 141 square metres, this accommodation really felt like home. It had all the amenities found in our room. The guest room and master’s bedroom were equally lavish. But once we entered its study room, time started to slow down and we let ourselves unwind. This accommodation is really a perfect choice for travelling families or friends.

Three-Bedroom Residensi

We also got the chance to peek into the Three-Bedroom Residensi, which was obviously more spacious than its two-bedroom contemporary. The elegance, the furniture and fully functional facilities here are worthy of praise. For bigger families and groups of friends, we recommend staying in this sophisticated yet comfy abode.

Three-Bedroom Deluxe Residensi

Staying in the biggest and poshest accommodation made our luckier companions all the more ecstatic. During our afternoon conversation here, we agreed that it was worth the money with all its contemporary adornments and real homey ambience. The earth tone interior exudes calmness, a perfect complement to the exquisite carpeting shouting luxury. The warm glow of sunlight passing through the drapes of floor-to-ceiling windows added to the luxurious country feel.

Stay fit at the hotel’s fully equipped gym

Travellers like us need to maintain a top-notch healthy lifestyle. During our stay at the hotel, we made sure that we kept tabs on our fitness so that we could be fully functional and ready for all the thrills that we could encounter while on the go. We were proud to say that the fully equipped gym kept us busy all throughout our stay.

Things to do

Make unlimited bonding time at the 163 Lounge

A dazzling sky lounge was one of the hotel’s highlights outside of our accommodation. From the lounge’s vantage point located between the levels 48 and 49 of the hotel, the views of the nearby famous Kuala Lumpur landmarks, such as the Petronas Twin Towers and the KL Tower, were stunning. We’ve been there more than a couple of times and what we got were tons of pictures for our friends back home. Our social media friends will surely have something to drool for once again as soon as we post these pictures online.

Things to do

Feast your eyes and stomach at the al fresco barbeque areas

The hotel has two al fresco barbeque areas found on the fifth and 49th floor. We feasted on authentic Malaysian skewers both on these floors, and we must say that it was worth it! The elevation, the stunning evening city lights, and the taste of a local food doubled the fun and excitement.

The staff are fluent in English, Malay, and Chinese

Fun Facts

Since our group is comprised of mixed Asians, we mainly use English in all our conversations. But we tried our best to be friendlier by speaking useful Malay phrases whenever we strike a conversation with the hotel personnel. To our surprise, one staff member who noticed our obvious struggle to keep up with the chat tactfully informed us that the entire hotel staff was fluent in English, Malay, and Chinese.

The man behind the beautiful room aesthetics

Fun Facts

The most notable things that will capture your attention upon stepping into a room here are serenity and elegance. The genius behind these intrinsic beauties is none other than the world-renowned master Japanese designer Mr. Koichiro Ikebuchi. He is the face behind the Atelier Mura Proprietary Limited, a top-tier interior design company based in Singapore. He ensures that all Lanson Place housing units have maximum yet subdued touches of modernity and stylishness without undermining the comfort of a usual home.

The Area

Kuala Lumpur is known for having a lot of worthy attractions within the city limits. The good thing is that Lanson Place Bukit Ceylon Serviced Residences is just a stone’s throw away from most of them. Here are some for starters:

Within two minutes from the hotel is the famous Changkat Bukit Bintang. It is dubbed as Malaysia’s “Times Square” and reason will not object to that. The place is all the rage and is lined with bars, restaurants, and almost all kinds of entertainment. Weekends and public holidays bring a lot of people here, so be sure to get yourself a nice den before the crowd gets overwhelming during these times and especially during night time.

Located within the five-minute range from the hotel are guaranteed top Asian shopping centres. It includes Lot 10, Starhill Gallery, and Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.

the area

Lot 10 may be the odd one out because of its vivid green colour, but the moment you step inside this five-storey shopping mall, you’ll be fascinated by the sheer volume of Japanese products sold here, including food.

Starhill Gallery, on the other hand, has been voted as one of Asia’s most beautiful shopping malls. Its fashion section is the most notable of all, carrying world-famous fashion lines such as Louis Vuitton, Dior, Kenzo, Sergio Rossi, and Valentino, just to name a few. It also has shops for top-of-the-line watches and jewellery brands such as Omega, Patek Philippe, Hermes, Lotus, and Cartivia.

Pavilion Kuala Lumpur is called Kuala Lumpur’s haute couture shopping Mecca and you know what that means. Being in a place where a lot of malls try to outshine each other is not an easy feat, but Pavilion Kuala Lumpur did just like that.

Literally just a stone’s throw away from the hotel is Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve, an 11,000 sqm rainforest right at the heart of the city. You can enjoy the atmosphere of a natural forest while trekking along a number of nature trails. Experiencing the Canopy Walk is a must while you’re there. This 200m high wood-and-steel aerial bridge gives you a panoramic view of the city and the famous KL Tower, the tallest telecommunications tower in Southeast Asia and the seventh tallest in the world.

It comes as no surprise that the Petronas Twin Towers is the famous landmark in Kuala Lumpur. It became famous almost overnight because it once held the distinction of being the tallest building in the world. Apart from that former record, Petronas Twin Towers still has a lot of jaw-dropping features that you must see for yourself. From the Lanson Place Bukit Ceylon hotel, the renowned attraction is just ten minutes away.
