Style meets taste alongside a spin of Balinese flavour
Seminyak, Bali’s upmarket coastal enclave houses some of the most amazing hotels and villas alongside its designer boutiques, posh restaurants and exciting clubs. With Amadea Resort & Villas situated at the heart of the Seminyak Eat Street, we found ourselves right in the middle of great excitement.
As we set foot on the resort grounds, we instantly fell in love with the contemporary architecture that’s complemented with a tinge a Balinese elegance. Crafted from local materials, the resort is complete with a total of 86 rooms, 7 suites as well as 7 private pool villas, which are all tastefully furnished and adequately equipped with state of the art facilities. We absolutely loved the excellent service provided by the resort staff, from pampering us with welcome drinks and a 15-minute welcome massage to being extra attentive to our needs. Plus, we always returned to clean rooms and fresh towels that are folded into adorable animals alongside a friendly note from the staff.

Deluxe Pool Terrace
Situated on the first floor of the resort, the Deluxe Pool Terrace provides convenient access to and from the room. With an area of 38 sqm, this room is a pleasantly comfortable accommodation for three, and what we loved most was having the resort pool right outside the doors. Picture this – waking up to a clear blue pool inviting you to jump in for a refreshing morning dip. How awesome is this!
At 48 sqm, the Junior Suite is the best choice for a family of three. Complete with a king bed, sofas and a coffee table, you’ll have more than enough walking and living space in this suite. We simply loved the spacious bathroom that provided both a bathtub and a rainshower – definitely a plus to any resort experience!

Boasting a lavish 400 sqm spanning over two floors, we find this Four Bedroom Pool Villa to be the perfect accommodation for a great family getaway! Designed to house eight adults and four children, this villa is well suited to accommodate large groups of family and friends all under one roof. Fully equipped with a facility designed for comfort, we could always count on retiring to this amazing villa to conclude our day perfectly! Our favourite part here was the 13-metre long private pool we had access to, allowing us to soak up in some fun to escape the summer heat. For those who have a love for the outdoors, enjoy the beautiful greenery at your very own backyard as you take a stroll in your villa garden and reconnect with nature.
You can’t possibly leave Bali without pampering yourselves with a spa experience. Situated on the roof, Ambiente Spa promised a spectacular view and at the same time treated us to an authentic Seminyak spa experience – perfect to rest your weary bones and re-energize those tired muscles. Ranked as one of the favourites amongst hotel spas in Seminyak, we simply had to try it out and we were not the least bit disappointed! We opted for the Balinese Bliss package where we had a go at a combination of traditional Balinese massage and body scrub complete with a flower bath at the end of the treatment. Well rested and reinvigorated, this spa experience was definitely the highlight of our little getaway.
Start your day right with a yoga class! We’ve heard about the amazing benefits of yoga and have been wanting to try it out for the longest time. We jumped at the opportunity to sign ourselves up for a morning yoga session conducted by a Balinese yoga teacher at the resort. What we loved about the yoga class was how suitable it was for both beginners as well as advanced practitioners, making it less intimidating for first-timers like us. Yoga classes are available every Monday and Thursday beginning at 7.30am in the morning. As the class size is limited to 10 participants only, do remember to book your session in advance to avoid disappointment! Alternatively, opt for a private yoga lesson that can be arranged according to your schedule at nominal fees.
Take a dip in the pool to escape the heat! We especially enjoyed how we could relax in the cool waters while at the same time indulge in delicious snacks and sip on refreshing drinks. We happened to be hanging out by the pool on a Sunday and we got to take part in the weekly BBQ session that’s going on there. A perfect way to spend our Sunday afternoon, we got to feast on the succulent BBQ delights that was available from 12pm to 4pm. Plus, we were just in time for the pool bar happy hours and gulped on ice cold beer with an amazing promotion!
A private oasis set amidst the busy streets
Although the resort is conveniently situated in the heart of the Seminyak Eat Street, you don’t have to worry about the lack of privacy for the least bit! Your rooms are quietly nestled deep within the resort allowing you to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the streets and recharge for the day.
Pay it forward with Amadea Cares
The tourism scene in Bali may be growing and flourishing at a rapid rate but not everyone is fortunate enough to reap its benefit. With the launch of Amadea Cares, in-house guests could choose to donate a token sum of Rp 5,000 during their stay and together with the staff members’ contributions support orphaned children, the aged, impoverished and disabled. While you’re enjoying your holiday, don’t forget that you could always lend a helping hand to the needy along with Amadea Resort & Villas.
Discover the taste of Bali
A perfect casual dining experience, guests of Amadea could pamper themselves with a meal at the Bistro Batu Kali Restaurant. Strategically positioned as a street front restaurant, diners could choose to be seated facing either the famous Seminyak Eat Street or face the boardwalk terrace, both equally suitable for people-watching. Did you know, the bistro is operated by a well seasoned Australian Chef, bringing us both quality and quantity. With an unpretentious and reasonably-priced menu, a meal here is tailored to satisfy all kinds of diners.
Upon arrival at Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport, you would be able to arrive at Amadea Resort & Villas after a 25-minute drive. Choose to either make arrangements with the resort prior to your visit so as to have an airport transfer arranged for you or hire a taxi from the airport.
With the resort’s complimentary shuttle to the main street, feel free to shuffle around the area for some exploration on your own. If you prefer walking, the Seminyak Eat Street is only a short 5-minute walk from the resort.
Conveniently set in the heart of Seminyak, Amadea Resort & Villas allows you convenient access to the Seminyak main street that is only 5 minutes away by foot. Also, choose to visit Legian, Kuta and Canggu which are all approximately a 15-20 minutes drive away.
The epitome of the Balinese pace of life, Seminyak Eat Street promises endless shopping, an abundance of bars and restaurants as well as constant energy and vigour of the streets. Spend your afternoon sampling gastronomical delights and people-watching as you relax in a cosy cafe. An invaluable experience, it is definitely a must to spend some time at the Seminyak Eat Street while you’re in the vicinity! For cultural lovers and history buffs, visit Petitenget Temple (or Pura Petitenget), Seminyak’s famed cultural landmark. Witness how this ancient temple comes alive during its festive 210-day anniversaries as well as traditional dance rehearsals which are held regularly by the locals at the neighbouring grand pavilion. Did you know, Petitenget forms one of the island’s Dang Kahyangan collection of sea temples? These temples are said to spiritually guard the island’s boundaries dating back all the way to the 16th century.
If you’re an outdoor enthusiast, there are plenty of day trips and recreational activities available just for you. From white water rafting at Ayung River and a mountain cycling trip at Kintamani to meeting wildlife on safari journeys, choose your preferred day tour! Once you’ve decided, all you have to do is approach the friendly resort staff to make the arrangements for you and you’re all set to go!
Setting foot into Bali, you have arrived at one of the world’s best surfing destinations and you have no reason not to give surfing a go before you leave. It is, however, important that you pick a beach which matches your ability. For beginners, Kuta beach’s softer tides and comparatively smaller waves create the perfect platform for white water surfing for first-timers. Challenge yourselves and attempt to ride tougher waves on Canggu beach once you’re comfortable with the beginner exposure. Lastly for all your surfing experts out there, have a go at Padang Padang, home to Bali’s famous pipeline – Keramas. Slightly further as compared to the other beaches, Padang Padang is a 45-minute drive away from Seminyak, quietly hidden away on the south-eastern wing of Bali.
