Book NowWe were incredibly impressed with the menu choices, which featured stellar highlights such as the Local Nasi Lemak, 30 Ben Beef Burger and Asian Vongole amongst a dizzying array of other Asian and Western options. The fusion dishes were impeccable and flavoursome! We also loved the delicious sides, namely the Spam Fries and the Har Cheong Wings – absolutely yummy. This in-house restaurant also boasts a plethora of mocktails. Go for the must-try specialty known as the Local Freeze! The distinct sour plum flavour was something we really savoured down to the last sip.
To round it up, the warm ambience courtesy of the anodized trellis ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows made the informal space very comfortable to dine in. Whether you choose the hearty buffet spread and aromatic coffee pairing or opt for the easy breezy all-day dining, your stay at this hotel in Singapore will be nothing short of fantastic.
Don’t we all love those dreamy infinity pools that provide superb vantage points of the surrounding landscapes and vistas? 30 Bencoolen’s rooftop pool, perched on the 15th floor, does not disappoint. We loved how the 14-metre pool was simple yet alluring with its emerald green accents. Sun worshippers can get quite the tan up here by chilling on one of the sun loungers. For those who prefer to dip in at night, enjoy a languid swim beneath the dazzling canopy of stars above you.
Tip: Don’t miss out on the cosy jacuzzi tub where you can relax and wash your worries away. Located at a cozy corner, we really enjoyed the blissful dip.
This state-of-the art gym here prioritises your convenience since it remains open throughout the day. We did not have to rush and squeeze in our workouts in the presence of other guests. Go ahead and run on the treadmill or choose to lift some weights. This compact space allows you to maximise your exercise time and stay active during your entire stay in this hotel in the city centre. There’s no reason now to say that you have no time!
If you look close enough, you will be able to spot these intricate Rafflesia-like patterns all around the hotel from the lobby area, furniture to the ceiling. Backed by warm lighting, these motifs really give the hotel added style and class as well as a consistent overall theme – ooh lala!
You may find Bencoolen to be quite a quirky name for a district. Here’s a brief history lesson to enlighten you! Bencoolen was named after Bengkulu, which was located on the west coast of Sumatra, by the British in 1685. When founder Sir Stamford Raffles came to Singapore in 1819, several Bencoolen men accompanied him during his sojourn and settled in that particular area. Now known as Bencoolen Street, this precinct was named based on this significant historic reference.
In a bid to be more environmentally friendly, the hotel has seen a reduction in traffic lanes from four to just two lanes. This is to facilitate more pedestrian space where people can walk or ride their bicycles hassle-free. A pretty awesome effort right?
