If you’re a weary traveller looking for some much-needed R&R, Dream Phuket Hotel & Spa warrants a visit. Tucked away in a sleepy, residential neighbourhood, this luxury hotel in Phuket is perfect for a holiday escapade. After all, the hotel is purposefully located away from noisy tourist hotspots for a reason.
We fell irrevocably in love from the moment we stepped into the lobby, especially after we caught a glimpse of the shimmering pool. We had our first taste of Thai hospitality when greeted by hotel staff bearing fragrant welcome flower garlands. They also presented us with refreshing welcome lychee drinks and cold towels. After a short tour, the staff briefed us on the hotel’s current promotions and explained how we could reach room service. All luggages were handled without us having to lift a finger – if this isn’t top-notch service, we don’t know what is!
With a myriad of room options from sophisticated suites to tasteful villas, guests are sure to be luxuriated. Throw in stunning amenities and excellent service and your Phuket getaway honestly can’t get any better. At 35 square metres, the Deluxe Twin had basically everything we needed. It makes for a flawless room choice for a pair of best friends!
We enjoyed the comfortable beds and necessary amenities that made our stay both luxurious and pleasant. The Dream team clearly thought about everything a traveller might possibly need during their stay. We found a pair of slippers (in addition to bathroom slippers) as well as a mini charging-kit for our use. Replete with coffee and tea-making facilities, minibar, flat screen TV, standing rain shower and complimentary high speed WiFi, this fantastic room was a dream come true.
Like the Deluxe Twin, the Deluxe King room is furnished with the full trimmings of a flat-screen TV, minibar, coffee and tea-making facilities as well as standing rain shower.
The extra upgrade? A plush king-sized bed that is the epitome of comfort as well as a standing bath tub that can fit two! This room is great for couples or solo travellers who want to treat themselves. You can laze in bed for as long as you want and have room service bring your breakfast in bed. After a tiring night out, return for a warm soak in the tub (they provide bath salts for your use too!).
Ever stayed in a hotel that has a mini dipping pool area to grace your balcony? Welcome to Dream Phuket Hotel & Spa – where you can opt for such a room! The 35-square metre Deluxe Dip Pool rooms are located on the ground floor, facing the main pool.
The balcony of this luxury hotel in Phuket gives guests swim-up access to a semi-private dip pool area, ideal for those who’d like a late night swim. Just imagine being steps away from a pool, which you can enjoy at any time of the day – how wonderful does that sound for a Phuket getaway?
For couples looking to splurge a little more for extra space, the dazzling 100 square-metre Pool Suite will not disappoint. In this spacious suite you’ll find a sitting area, king-sized bed, standing tub and rain shower, full kitchen area and your very own private pool in the terrace. Talk about luxurious! Spend your afternoon cuddling in bed while watching TV or soak up some sun as you idle by the pool.
We took our welcome fruit platter out to the terrace and enjoyed it by the pool! The private pool is definitely a huge bonus feature that jazzes up the entire getaway experience. Couples, you’re in for a real treat.
Prefer a bright and breezy room with a bird’s eye view? No problem, go for the aptly-named Sky Suite rooms which are located at the higher levels.
At 70 square metres, your Sky Suite comes fitted with a king-sized bed, standing bath tub as well as kitchen area. Fix yourself a snack and sit out on the balcony porch while devouring a good book. You may not have access to a private pool while staying here, but how about soaking in the bathtub instead? We recommend packing a pampering bath bomb specially just for this occasion – ah, pure bliss!
To put it simply, the Sky Pool Suite is for those who desire the best of both worlds. Our room was bright and ultra breezy, and came with a deluxe private pool nestled in the balcony.
Imagine spending all your lazy afternoons reclining on the lounge chairs while sipping on some bubbly after breakfast. Feel the heat getting to you? Enjoy refreshing dips in your private pool before going down for a late lunch. Sounds like a real dream come true, doesn’t it?
The 100 square-metre Grand Deluxe Pool Suite of this luxury hotel in Phuket is perfect when it comes to a family staycation. With two bedrooms – each fitted with a sumptuous king-sized bed, a kitchen area, standing bath tub and a pool out on the terrace balcony, the entire family is guaranteed to have an amazing holiday.
After spending some time out by the pool, gather everyone and cosy up in the living room for a family movie (make some popcorn in the microwave!) or game night. Family bonding time, checked!
Looking for just a little more space? At 135 square metres, the whole family can have some privacy without compromising on having spacious common areas. With an equally large living room in addition to two bedrooms and a fully-equipped kitchen, luxuriate in a home away from home while you’re here.
For some outdoor fun, bring some water guns, form teams and revel in a friendly water-fight out at the 30 square-metre pool! Alternatively, have a mini-race against each other – the possibilities are endless!
For the ultimate splash-out, Dream Phuket Hotel & Spa also offers ostentatiously spacious villas for booking. The Executive Pool Villa can fit up to nine and is perfect for bigger groups looking to have the time of their lives.
This 185 square-metre Executive Pool Villa has three bedrooms with king-sized beds and three bathrooms. There is also a living room, garage, garden and a whopping 54 square-metre private pool for your ultimate enjoyment. Get ready to relish the experience of having your own slice of paradise during your Phuket getaway!
Dining is definitely one of the most important highlights when on vacation. Fortunately, the hotel’s signature Trilogy Restaurant doesn’t disappoint. Boasting a wide range of cuisines from Thai to International, there is no shortage of delicious food here. Also conveniently located just in front of the main pool, enjoy dining with a view!
We got to feast on dishes like khao phad poo rue goong – wok-fried rice with a choice of shrimp or crab meat and the classic phad thai, which consists of flat rice noodles wok-fried to smoky perfection with seafood and egg. Alternatively, try out their Dream Burger, which is a chef’s special. The burger comes with a well-seasoned wagyu beef patty, caramelised onions, cheese and a fried egg sandwiched between sesame-studded burger buns. Every meal we had here was truly fresh and flavourful – an absolutely phenomenal dining experience!
We dare say that the main pool at this hotel is probably one of the most gorgeous pools we’ve ever laid eyes upon. Sparkling under the tropical heat, this summer oasis greeted us the moment we set foot into the hotel. With features like the breezy private poolside cabanas and floating sun loungers, relaxing around the pool is made both fun and stylish. So smear on that sunscreen and go for a refreshing dip or simply sprawl out for a tan with a book in hand!
As we visited during Songkran, the pool was decked out in festive cheer with colourful flags and whimsical pool floats available for guests to use.
While the poolside cabanas put up a tough fight, the swim-up poolside bar that’s right at the far end of the pool undoubtedly takes the cake. Yes, guests can actually swim up to the bar for poolside bites and snacks when they are feeling peckish! Pick your tipples from a wide range of the hotel’s signature concoctions or go for a classic cocktail that can never go wrong. Other drinks include beers, spirits and freshly squeezed juices, and shakes too!
Think that the main pool is all there is? You’re wrong! For a change of scenery, hop on over to the adults-only rooftop infinity pool. Here you’ll find unparalleled outlooks of the hotel and the lush hills beyond. Chill out on their comfy beach-chairs or couches that line the poolside and soak in the views after you take a languid swim.
The best time to come here? We recommend taking a dip during the golden hour. Feast your eyes on the spectacular sunset view and enjoy a pre-dinner drink while you’re at VU Rooftop Bar. With cocktail concoctions imbued with a twist of Thai flavours, the drinks here are far from ordinary! Get ready to sip away happily to glorious sunset sights.
What is a relaxing vacation without an indulgent massage session? Aptly named ‘Sanctuary’, Dream Phuket Hotel & Spa’s in-house spa facility is where you will truly be able to find your inner zen. With an extensive menu of luxurious massages, facials, scrubs and treatments to choose from, go ahead and spoil yourself!
We had the signature aromatic oil spa massage, which was a blissful 60-minute full body massage using traditional aromatic oil. The masseuses here are really professional so you’ll be in good hands. Enjoy a refreshing cup of lemongrass tea and fill up a form (noting on massage strength desired or if you have any places you’d like them to focus on or avoid) before going in. Imagine having all your aches and tense muscles skillfully massaged away by your friendly and attentive masseuse. We emerged feeling refreshed and revitalised and were offered cups of hot ginger tea to sip on before going back to our room for a quick snooze.
We got to meet the Executive Chef of Trilogy Restaurant, Chef Alfie Jerome Mossadeg, who hails from Singapore! Chef Alfie prides himself in serving a smorgasbord of Southeast Asian flavours instead of only solely concentrating on offering Thai food. The outcome? A restaurant that presents travellers with a taste of what Southeast Asia has to offer instead of just Thai food. So, get ready for a mishmash of sweet, spicy and sour notes of the Southeast Asian palette that will whet your appetite!
Thanks to Chef Alfie, we also got to try the Special Asian Platter (which is not on the menu, but do ask for it in advance if you’d like to try it). True to his motto, the Special Asian Platter incorporates the best of Southeast Asian flavours all in one setting.
Start with a tangy and slightly spicy pomelo salad, golden spring rolls fried to a crisp and fresh Vietnamese-inspired rice paper rolls filled with lettuce, vermicelli and mint. Then, move on to a crowd favourite: satay, tender chicken and beef skewers barbequed to perfection. There are many variations of this dish across Southeast Asia, but here Chef Alfie pairs the sticks with a classic peanut sauce as well as a dipping sauce of white vinegar with mixed chopped up vegetables for a bit of zing. Finally, indulge in the delectable chicken massaman curry. This was our favourite component – tender chicken pieces along with potato cubes and peanuts simmered in rich curry gravy that had just the right level of spice – it paired amazingly with our steamed rice! All in all, you definitely don’t want to give this platter a miss – a true gastronomical experience awaits.
When we spoke to Chef Alfie about this amazing platter, and he hinted that it will be added to the main menu within the next few months, so keep your eyes peeled!
In bid to keep up with energy conservation, you’ll spot green features like the “green walls” that harness the use of vines and creeper plants that act as a passive ventilation system. This method provides shade and keeps the corridors cool.
Green walls aren’t the only energy-saving functions around this hotel! At Dream Phuket Hotel & Spa, every room is built in with an automatic power-off function. The air-conditioning will switch off when doors to the balcony are left open for more than three minutes.
Forgetting to bring your phone charger is probably every traveller’s worst nightmare. Thankfully, the folks here at Dream Phuket Hotel & Spa have thought way ahead, and placed a special lifesaving pouch in every room. This charge kit contains various charging cables that will fit most of your gadgets and juice up your phone in no time. How convenient is that?

Dream Phuket Hotel & Spa is nestled in the quiet residential neighbourhood of Laguna. Although located far from tourist-laden districts, you will find that getting to the hotel from Phuket International Airport is easy as pie. The hotel is a mere 20-minute drive away!
Simply arrange for an airport transfer (chargeable) and hop into their comfortable luxury BMW car. Sit back and relax as you’re chauffeured to your accommodation in style!
Naka Market, which is also known as Phuket Weekend Market is Phuket’s version of the Bangkok’s Chatuchak Market. Being a 30-40 minute drive away, Naka Market may not be the best example when it comes to things to do in the area itself, but we think that the drive there is totally worth it.
Whittle the night away as you meander through the delightful labyrinth of stalls. These shops sell everything from menswear and ladies fashion to colourful handmade bags and trinkets – all at a steal!
Besides being a shopaholic’s dream come true, Naka Market also has a corner dedicated to street food where you can fill your tummies for cheap. Whether you’re looking for a little snack or for a heavier meal, this place has got you covered. Try out light bites like grilled pork skewers, moo ping, or go for some mini coconut pancakes deftly flipped to crispy goodness right before your very eyes. We were looking for something more substantial for dinner so we wandered to the back of the food alleys. Here you’ll find Thai-style “zichar” which allows you to order dishes along with rice or noodles. We went for our favourite phad thai, Thai-style omelette, a serving of crispy pork and some Thai ice milk tea – ah, satisfying and wallet-friendly!
Dream Phuket Hotel & Spa may not be a beachfront hotel but that doesn’t mean you can’t get your daily dose of vitamin sea. A sister property to the hotel, Dream Beach Club is a four-minute drive away via the hourly free shuttle bus.
Come in on a Sunday afternoon (and on an empty stomach) for their scrumptious Sunday Brunch which lasts from 12 noon to 3pm. The International brunch here is touted to be one of the best value-for-money buffet spreads in Phuket. It features a lavish spread of top favourites ranging from lobsters, clams and mussels to a grill station where you can get a ribeye made to order. You can also expect sushi, sashimi, and even a kebab station!
The best part about Sunday brunch here is that there is also a wide array of moreish desserts! Expect mango sticky rice and crème brûlée and a selection of cakes and potted desserts, all made by their in-house pastry chef. Sweet!
Ready to party it up or just want to have an afternoon siesta after a good meal? Make your way to the poolside! You’ll find two pools and a poolside bar, surrounded by private poolside cabanas, bean bag chairs and sun beds.
Bust those moves to live music while the DJ keeps it going! If you’re a lazy bum like us – snag a cabana, grab some ice-cold beers and lounge away.
Dream Beach Club also has direct access to Layan beach. If you’re ready for a swim or some beach volleyball, make your way to soft sugar-white sand and crystal-clear cerulean blue waters in a jiffy! Can you say best beach day ever?
