The Manor at Camp John Hay facade

Deep in the tranquil woods of the City of Pines sits a Baguio hotel that has long been ingrained in this well-loved destination’s identity. The Manor at Camp John Hay isn’t only a trusted luxury hotel in Baguio; it’s a home away from home that offers guests the quintessential Baguio experience. Its hilly location — 5,000 feet above sea level in the province of Benguet, to be exact — allows for quite the idyllic mountainside getaway. When we arrived at The Manor at Camp John Hay for our much-awaited Baguio sojourn, our expectations were at an all-time high. We were promised picturesque scenery courtesy of the Cordillera mountain range paired with fresh air and a crisp coolness that never dips below 19 degrees Celsius. And truly, this hotel in Baguio did not disappoint; it offered all that and more!

Our accommodation exudes the warmth of a cozy private cabin, where we could just hole up in all day swathed in soft bedding and linens. But as tempting as that seemed, of course, The Manor at Camp John Hay’s grounds were so vast and lush that they perpetually beckoned to us. We had our large windows to thank for that. You should also note that living spaces at this Baguio hotel all come with breathtaking views. Now, who wouldn’t love that?

Once you finally convince yourself to step outside, you’ll be faced with yet another conundrum: What to do first? Roam the gardens? Take a tour? Grab a bite? A massage will definitely sound good at this point, too. Or maybe you’d like to go on a shopping spree at the souvenir store? The Manor at Camp John Hay presents endless possibilities for each and every one of its pampered guests. Read the rest of our The Manor at Camp John Hay review to get a taste of all its offerings. If you’re still deciding where to stay in Baguio, your search has just ended. You’ve come to the right place.

Well-appointed abodes tailored for rest and relaxation

The Manor at Camp John Hay Hotel Superior Room

Superior Room

The first thing you’ll want to know when booking a stay with The Manor at Camp John Hay is that their accommodations are never cramped. At 38 to 46 square metres, the Superior Room is a perfect choice if you’re travelling alone or in pairs. Each room is fitted with an en suite bathroom as well as a mini bar and coffee and tea making facilities for when you’re feeling peckish.

Cable TV and complimentary WiFi, on the other hand, will take care of in-room entertainment. An NDD/IDD phone system allows for added connectivity, in case you prefer to make calls via landline. Last but certainly not the least, The Manor at Camp John Hay’s Superior Room treats guests to sweeping views of a magical pine forest or the photogenic Manor Garden.

The Manor at Camp John Hay Hotel Deluxe Room

Deluxe Room

With the same wooden interiors and a clean aesthetic that embraces the warmth and earthiness of an autumn palette, the Deluxe Room is very similar to its Superior counterpart. In fact, the Deluxe Room of this Baguio hotel offers all the same features and conveniences. Perhaps what sets it apart is the fact that most Deluxe Rooms at The Manor at Camp John Hay are located on the Ground Floor. This then makes it the best option for those travelling with a companion to be one with nature. And did we mention? You get your own veranda, too — for when the great outdoors call but you don’t want to leave the comforts of your own nest.

The Manor at Camp John Hay Hotel One Bedroom Suite

One Bedroom Suite

You can be travelling alone or with a companion, but still opt for more spacious quarters. If you prefer a more roomy affair, then simply book the One Bedroom Suite. At 76 to 84 square metres, it’s also ideal for small families or an intimate getaway with dear friends. This particular room affords you a step-out balcony and separate dining and living areas. With two toilets and baths, you won’t ever have to argue over “who goes first”. Of course, the One Bedroom Suite comes with all the amenities of the Superior and Deluxe Rooms. On top of these conveniences, it comes equipped with a sofa trundle bed, a microwave oven, and two DVD players for each entertainment nook.

The Manor at Camp John Hay Hotel Two Bedroom Suite

Two Bedroom Suite

Travelling with a big party and looking for a hotel in Baguio that can pull off your tour requests? The Manor at Camp John Hay gives you the best option with its Two Bedroom Suite. At a whopping 106 to 132 square metres, it’s this Baguio hotel’s largest offering in terms of accommodations.

What do you get aside from all the extra space? The same amenities and facilities of the One Bedroom Suite, only this room has three DVD players and toilets and baths instead of two. For sightseeing and some forest bathing within the confines of your own place, the Two Bedroom Suite is also fitted with two balconies and two verandas that offer calming nature views! Can you picture it? We most definitely can!
