Nestled in a strategic spot in Timog Avenue, Torre Venezia Suites
is a rare posh hotel that merges sophistication and convenience
Have you ever dreamed of living in Italy? Or at least visiting as a tourist? It’s everything you could ever imagine, from the architecture, eateries, and famous attractions. A country like Italy is hard to replicate. But because there’s no stopping Filipinos from dreaming big, you can now experience a luxurious and localised Italian-inspired hotel right here in Quezon City. The first thing you’ll notice when you see Torre Venezia Suites is the striking orange hued exterior of the hotel. This eye-catching facade towers up to 26 floors split into the residential and hotel area. Their hotel area has a total of 110 rooms.
We were welcomed by the bubbly staff at the lobby as they quickly explained the dynamics of the hotel. They have two sets of elevators, one was for the residential floors, as there are also people who own apartments in the hotel. The other was for the hotel floors, which are the ground floor to the eighth floor. As we explored the hotel, we noticed that there were floral embellishments in almost all the furniture, stitched on gold and red covers. Every room had a flat screen TV, telephone, hot and cold shower facilities, hairdryer, and complete toiletries. With additional amenities such as their spa, gym, and pool, we were able to have a complete package of convenience and healthy living during our stay. Although the hotel isn’t as big as other sophisticated hotels, every element came together and built up its overall grandeur. As their tagline goes “ More than just accommodation, we make great memories.” To know more about this hotel in Quezon City, read further into our Torre Venezia Suites hotel review.
If you watch Filipino teleseryes, you may recognise this room because it’s often used for filming TV shows. Guests often book the Napoli Suite when they're attending events in the area or for their photoshoots. This doesn’t come off as a surprise when you see how the room is washed with a golden hue. At 25-27 sqm, it has a queen-sized bed, cushioned chairs and couch, mini bar items, and a 32-inch Devant TV. Simple yet classic, this room suites any vacationer on a budget.
We always look forward to rooms with overlooking views, and so we were really happy to find that Torino is the hotel’s signature Panoramic Suite with a wide view of the surrounding area outside. Although it has no receiving area, it makes up for it with the huge window where natural light penetrates through. This gave the suite a very afternoon-at-home vibe which made us feel quite cosy. You may also use this suite for prenup shoots and wedding preparations.
The Genova Suite measures 40 sqm. It’s more spacious than the Napoli but just as classy. Businessmen, who are in town for “bleisure” and looking for a room with just enough extra space for their luggages, often book this suite. This room comes with a king-sized bed, and small receiving area with a single-seated couch and sofa. The bathroom also has both a tub and shower, with complete bathroom amenities. Every practical item businessmen and women might need, they’ll surely find here.
This suite is often booked by grooms before their wedding. The first thing that caught our eye when we saw this room was the huge rustic golden headboard of the king-sized bed. This, on top of the golden motif and floral embellishments, made it feel like the bedroom was truly made for a duke or king. It also has complimentary coffee and tea, a balcony, and a tub and shower to help one unwind or relax before and after a big event.
Roma II has two twin sized beds and is sometimes used by the groom and groomsmen as they’re preparing for a wedding. But just because this room is usually booked by men doesn’t mean it’s bland of design. You still get a balcony view, plus at the edge of the beds, you’ll find small “cleopatra sofas” covered in brown velvet. Elegant and masculine at the same time!
This suite is similar to the Venezia Suite, except for its main feature which is the rotating television. Yes, you read that right, you can rotate the TV and make it face either the living room or your bedroom. It also has a tempting red velvet armchair with a matching footrest by the huge window where the light filters through. Grooms or debutantes who have bigger budgets usually book the Verona Suite.
If you want to spoil yourself a bit more, the Milano Executive Suite has all the makings of a luxurious room. At 50 sqm, this suite has a private balcony, receiving area, king-sized bed, velvet covered divans, LCD television, safety deposit box, mini bar items, and a shower and tub. The room’s accents consist of red, mahogany, gold, and white. We truly felt as if we were in a glamorous Italian hotel, no wonder brides book this as their room when they’re getting ready for their big day. Couples also book this room for their honeymoon every now and again.
As if the accommodations of the hotel couldn’t get any more luxurious, the Venezia Suite answered all our pampering needs. This suite’s bathroom floor and walls were built with marble, and the separate living room is big enough to sleep one more individual should the guests wish it. The furniture is covered in rose gold velvet and rustic-hued accents. The centre table in the living room even sits atop a fur rug where you can lazily stretch your tired feet after a long day. For the ladies, don’t stress the beauty routine. The Venezia Suite has a vanity table in the bedroom where you can indulge yourself. Everything sounds tempting, right?
The hotel also has a two bedroom apartment you can book for as long as you’d like in a year. There have been hotel guests who have booked this two storey room for one to three months. When we saw the room, we understood why. It wasn’t just an ordinary hotel room, it was almost as if you could truly live here in the long run. The first floor featured a TV, living room, and a kitchen area complete with a refrigerator and microwave. The second floor had two bedrooms, which had a queen-sized bed and a single bed respectively. The design still looks neat and classy, with its bathrooms covered in marble tiles, and of course, a private balcony. If you have the budget, this room is perfect for locals on a staycation.
You can dip into their swimming pool located at the 8th floor, where you get a view of both the surround area below and the towering structure of the whole hotel above. It’s a simple pool area where you can just relax and forget about your worries while you savour the coolness of the pool. If you don’t want to swim, you can always try their gym found right before you enter the pool deck.
Breakfast is served in Rocca Ristorante. Rocca Ristorante gives its guests a breakfast buffet every morning; they serve a la carte for lunch and dinner. And yes, their speciality is Italian cuisine, but their menu is also a fusion of European and Asian dishes. We recommend you try their Italian Sausage Pomodor, Spicy Garlic Shrimp Pasta, Meat Lovers Pizza, Fresco, Baby Back Ribs, and Mongolian Beef. When it comes to the interior design of the restaurant, you’re in for a visual treat. They have Art deco references with colours of red, violet, black and gold. You’ll feel the luxuriousness just by walking in.
Improve your quality of life with the physical and mental rejuvenation that Nuovo Spa has to offer. When you just got off from a long day outside or a week full of events, head straight to Nuovo Spa and pick from their array of massages such as Ventosa Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Shiatsu Massage, and Swedish Massage among others. Trust us, your vacation won’t be a real vacation until you’ve experienced their pampering services.
Although the 2BR Apartmento is considered part of their hotel section, you’ll actually find this type of room in their residential floors. The longest time a guest has stayed in this room is six months.
Torre Venezia Suites is a hotel near ABS-CBN, which is one of the biggest TV networks in the country. It won’t surprise you that the network always makes bookings in Torre Venezia Suites to film scenes in bedrooms or when they need a holding area for reality shows.
The hotel is also a go-to location for debut and prenup photoshoots, and wedding and birthday party preparations. It’s also where office seminars and team buildings take place thanks to its classy yet homey atmosphere. Everyone gets to be comfortable and pampered in Torre Venezia Suites!
