Immerse in Filipino ingenuity inside an authentic modernised Filipino hotel

Seda Vertis North hotel lobby

As Filipinos, we always look for establishments that stand for and live out Filipino values. We look for places that will prove that Filipino service, creativity, and hospitality are on par with international and world-class hotels. We couldn’t have been prouder to discover that Seda Vertis North, a brand new hotel in Quezon City, represents everything innovative and authentic that Filipino service has to offer. It is not only an upscale Filipino hotel due to its service, but it’s a vertical abode for travellers who want to witness local heritage first hand and at its finest. One of their glaring testaments to this is the hotel’s architectural trademark which is a “simple and understated elegance” in tribute to the simplicity of Filipino homes.

As we explored the hotel, we saw art pieces by renowned Filipino artists like Kenneth Cobonpue, Ann Pamintuan, and even works of Don Jaime Zobel de Ayala himself. If you’re art lovers like we are, Seda Vertis North will surely speak to your artistic sensibilities. Not only that, its location is also very convenient and strategic as it’s walking distance to Ayala Malls Vertis North. The hotel isn’t too far from other commercial establishments like parks and museums as well. This makes it a perfect destination for both vacations and staycations. Local and foreign tourists alike will find that Seda Vertis North is the ultimate oasis where urban adventure is waiting at the doorstep. It’s also where we, on the other hand, couldn’t wait to spoil ourselves. Read our full Seda Vertis North hotel review to know more about this new Filipino hotel in Manila.

Rooms

Where sleepless nights become a thing of the past with the warmest accommodations

Seda Vertis North Deluxe Room

Deluxe Room

Guests who want to keep things simple will surely find a home in the Deluxe Rooms. This classic accommodation has a 32 sqm area equipped with modern amenities such as a 40-inch LED HDTV, media panel with HDMI, USB connectivity and iPod docks. We found this room to be perfect for our small group, as it already has two twin-sized beds or one king-sized bed, and an executive work desk. This is already a generous amount of facilities considering that this is their smallest room.

Seda Vertis North Club Room

Club Room

Travellers who prefer more exclusive treatment will find the Club Room suited to their taste. The Club room not only has complete amenities like the Deluxe Room, but it comes with access to the Club Lounge. This lounge offers guests a daily buffet breakfast, cocktails, all-day coffee, and non-alcoholic beverages. Again, those who are travelling on business like us are not forgotten; the Club Lounge has iMac stations for people to do their work online or read some materials. Clearly, this hotel also makes it their business to provide their guests with quality service and top-of-the-line facilities.

Seda Vertis North Premier Room

Premier Room

We took a moment to appreciate this 48 sqm studio-style accommodation and its tasteful colour scheme of nude and brown hues. It exuded a rustic feel save for the modern furnishing and beddings, which were all elegantly laid out meticulously. It definitely made us feel at home, especially because the Premier Room is also a non-smoking area, which makes it more family-friendly. Guests may also request to be accommodated in Premier Rooms with access to the Club Lounge. Doesn’t this all sound perfect for a staycation?

Seda Vertis North Corner Suite

Corner Suite

For travelling families, whether on a vacation or staycation, the Corner Suite is the ideal size for your stay. It’s a 64 sqm room with a separate master bedroom, living room, and walk-in closet. Your kids will surely enjoy having bubble baths in the bathtub while you can relax and have a hot shower. We also saw that the suite has a microwave that is very useful for parents who like preparing small meals for the whole family and for business travellers who prefer making quick meals on their own. In any case, guests staying in this suite also have access to the Club Lounge for a more luxurious experience.

Seda Vertis North Presidential Suite

Presidential Suite

If you want to experience Seda Vertis North at its best, the Presidential Suite is the room for you. Entering the suite, we were overwhelmed by its spaciousness and functionality. It had at least three comfortable couches in the living room, a king-sized bed, powder room, dressing room, and deluxe drop-in bathtub. The wide windows welcomed in the natural light from outside, and we were able to enjoy an encompassing view of the city from where we were. Guests even have an option to connect to an adjacent premier room, but the best part? You’ll have your own butler. We would love to spoil ourselves and book this room when we come back for the ultimate vacation!

Seda Vertis North Hotel Misto Restaurant

#1

Satisfy your taste buds at Misto Restaurant

We were reminded just how Filipino-driven the hotel was when we saw the all-Filipino team in Misto, and with something as simple as that, we knew we were going to have a gastronomic experience. Who wouldn’t feel at home knowing that people with great taste were behind every dish? Misto is an all-day buffet experience that’s decorated with chic and classy interiors. You’ll find show kitchens and interactive cooking stations where guests can watch the chefs prepare each dish. You also have the option to order ala carte, the restaurant specialises in local, oriental, and international cuisine. But don’t forget to try their Filipino specialties, adobo, crispy pata and Vertis Burger!

Seda Vertis North Straight Up rooftop bar

#2

Call your own shots at Straight Up

Get your gang together to spend some downtime in Straight Up. We were really looking forward to spending our night here. The bar sits on a rooftop and offers a breathtaking view of the city's skyline at night. We stayed where we could feel the cool night breeze to savour the lightness of the atmosphere, but guests also have the option to stay indoors. Straight Up has a wide selection of hand-crafted drinks and bite-sized treats for your pleasure-seeking palates. Experiencing a city’s nightlife in this laid-back way is what staycations are all about.

Relax at Seda Spa

#3

Relax and recharge at the Seda Spa

Soothe your muscles and mind at the Seda Spa. The hotel considers this their in-house “sanctuary” where guests can choose from a selection of massages and treatments. To spoil ourselves even further, we requested for their room service massage. It was the most relaxing spa experience we had in a long time. What better way to recharge?

Swim at the Seda Vertis North rooftop pool

#4

Stick to your physical routines

Just because you’re on a vacation or staycation, doesn’t necessarily mean you stop your workout routine. It’s a good thing that here in Seda, guests are provided with all the outlets they need to exercise, a fully equipped gym and pool. Their gym has state-of-the-art LifeFitness training equipment, cardiovascular management machines, free weights, sauna, and steam room. The swimming area is also perfect for family activities since the hotel has both an adult pool and kid’s pool. It’ll be easy for parents to look after their kids while they do their own laps.

Fun
Facts

#1

Seda Vertis North is the largest of all Seda hotels
Seda Vertis North grand ballroom

In a testament to this, Seda Vertis North houses a 700 sqm pillarless grand ballroom. We were in awe of its size, and not to mention, how pristine it looked. It is a blank canvas for whatever dream occasion one would like to have in the luxurious hall. As we expected, something as smartly designed as this ballroom is also able to be divided into smaller parts should guests want a more intimate setting. Whether it’s a wedding, office event, reunions, or family occasions, everyone is sure to be accommodated accordingly.

#2

Their signature drink is called “Elements”
Seda Vertis North grand ballroom

True to its name, Elements is Seda’s staple set of drinks and mix of four cocktails. The first one is Earth, made out of dark rum, cranberry juice, pineapple juice, simple syrup, red wine. The second is Water with vodka, vanilla syrup, mango juice, pineapple juice, Blue Curaçao as its components. Fire would be the third element, which is made of Jose Cuervo tequila, simple syrup, lemon juice, lime juice, dry mango juice, Bacardi 151, and grenadine. The last one is Air, composed of green apple juice, mint syrup, white rum, and lime mixer. This signature set of drinks is a must-try if you’re already staying over at Seda. We sure had our fill and we don’t regret it!

#3

A place for the arts
Seda Vertis North grand ballroom

We really have to hand it to Seda Vertis North for reaching out to world-class Filipino artists to adorn their hotel with irreplaceable art pieces that showcase just how talented we are as a people. Here, you’ll find Kenneth Cobonpue’s Bloom Chair and Ann Pamintuan’s animal sculptures. Don Jaime Zobel de Ayala’s black & white art piece also sits comfortably above Vito Selma’s Baud. All around this Filipino hotel, you'll find local craftsmanship and furnishing. This ultimately adds a Filipino touch and elegance to the modern establishment.
