When Bali, Indonesia comes to mind, the first idea that pops into our head is to have the ideal beach getaway. Sunbathing at the beach, swimming in the ocean, savouring the most delectable cuisines at the beachside, then finally crashing on a cosy and fluffy king-sized bed — you can do all these and more in Tijili Benoa Hotel. The name “Tijili” comes from Indonesia’s traditional concept of Dewi Sri, their literary rice goddess who symbolizes fertility and prosperity.
The resort’s design is a reinterpretation and modernization of their traditional motif, which gives guests and patrons a fresh perspective on their local creative culture. It was already a visual treat as we walked in this Bali hotel, but Tijili Benoa’s attributes got even better as we explored the interiors. The cool colour scheme set us in the perfect mood for a soothing Tijili spa and a refreshing dip in their rooftop pool. Their rooms overlook either a pool, courtyard, and even the beach, appealing to families and solo travellers alike. If this type of vibrant and exclusive hotel in Bali interests you, read our Tijili Benoa Hotel review to learn more.
Give your family enough space to create memorable moments. The Family Room comes with an interconnecting deluxe courtyard. Parents can comfortably stretch their legs while their children watch some entertainment on the 40” LCD TV or play board games. This room has all the comforts a family needs on a simple vacation such as a king-sized bed, free WiFi, a minibar, and a bathroom with a showerhead. With the combination of interior colours like green, orange, and yellow, the ambience is sure to be a happy and relaxing one for everyone in the family.
The tropical designer ambience is even more amplified in the Deluxe Courtyard Balcony. Its furnishing is made out of stone slab tables and tiled floors created by the artisans of Java. At 24 square metres, it’s just the right size for solo or duo travellers whether they’re travelling on business or leisure. This room comes with a view and access to a balcony or grassy courtyard where visitors can get a whiff of Bali’s fresh air. There are twin-sized beds to share with your travel buddy, and a bathroom with complete amenities for two if you don’t feel like sharing at all.
The Deluxe Terrace also comes with a balcony that overlooks a pool and a garden. The cosy furnishing makes it easy to spend some downtime on the balcony during the day and unwind while watching the stars glimmer above at night. If your room overlooks the pool, you can even have an easy access for a swim. This intimate and convenient setting is perfect for couples on a holiday.
Of course, our favourite room would be the one overlooking the ocean. The Deluxe Sea View Terrace gave us a luxurious rest with enough space for a group of four. It features a balcony from where you can see the ongoing activities at the beach or simply gaze at the sea to savour the tropical tranquillity. The room measures 31 square metres and has complete amenities such as a king-sized bed, WiFi, a minibar, a 40” LCD TV, and 24-hour room service.
After taking a swim at the beach and playing on the white sandy shore, sit back and get yourself a delicious meal at Warung Bamboo which is right at the beachside. We thoroughly enjoyed Warung Bamboo’s food selection that included international dishes all the way down to their local street food. The restaurant has a very rustic and laid-back vibe having its foundations built with bamboo, which has a four-year growth cycle and a carbon sequestration capacity. This was a big plus for us because it was a step forward in environmentally conscientious tourism.
If your muscles are aching and you’re looking for an outlet to relieve your stressed body, Tijili Benoa Spa’s trained therapists will help you remedy your problems. Here, they use organic products that are soothing and effective in relaxing the body. You can pick different services aside from their massages, such as body scrubs, foot bath, and face point massage. Besides, after all that swimming and snorkelling, your body and skin could use a little TLC.
Vacations aren’t just for adults, of course. You have to think of your kids, too. But you don’t have to stress about it since Tijili Benoa has a Kids Club where your children will be well looked after as they indulge in games, books, cartoons, and movies. When the need for peace and quiet comes, give yourself a break and let your children enjoy a day at the Kid’s Club.
If simply swimming at the beach bores you out, don’t worry. The resort has water sports activities open for everyone. Try something new and test how good you are at jet skiing, parasailing, scuba diving, or perhaps something mellowed down like snorkelling. This is the perfect opportunity for groups and families to bond, so jump in and make waves.
The best Bali moments are the ones spent with the family, and Tijili Benoa’s just the place for you to experience the ultimate stay. When luxurious amenities such as the spa, the ground pool and infinity pool are enough to indulge the adults, the children are also given priority. Aside from the four adult pools, the hotel has a kids pool and water splash, a playground at the beach, and other enriching activities such as cooking classes, towel art, and handicraft workshops. Don’t forget the Kids Club we previously mentioned! They welcome kids from 3 to 10 years old, and it’s open daily from 9am to 5pm.

If you are going to take a cab, take the Bali Mandara Toll Road. Head straight to the Benoa Toll Road via Bandara Ngura Rai. Continue on the Benoa Toll Road to Kuta Selatan. Turn left onto Jl., and again onto Jl. Pratama Raya. Look for signs saying Tanjung. At the first roundabout, take the first exit to Jl. Pratama. Pass Alfamart. The hotel should be on your right.
Tijili Benoa Hotel is found in the South Kuta area of Bali. This makes the hotel closer to outside beaches such as Samuh Beach, Mengiat Beach, Geger Beach, or Sawangan Beach. To give you an idea of the travel time, Samuh and Mengiat Beach are 9-minute drives each from the hotel. On the other hand, Gegar and Sawangan Beach are 15-minute drives each. If you have the time, take your family to these popular beaches aside from the beachfront of Tijili Benoa.
Go on a cultural and nature trip and visit Uluwatu Temple, too. Locals believe this Hindu sea temple to be one of the six spiritual pillars of Bali. Perched on a cliff, you get a unique view of the seascape and landscape from the location of the temple. The temple is approximately a 30-minute drive from the hotel. In addition, the Uluwatu area is known for its hidden beaches with white sand. The 1970s film, Morning of the Earth, also made Uluwatu beaches famous for being a spot for surfers and those who are just learning how to ride the waves. You might want to take the chance and feel the waves crash upon you in such an iconic surfer destination.
On the way back to the hotel, you may pass by the Garuda Wisnu Kencana cultural park. Here, you can take a peaceful walk amidst nature and photos with your family. It’ll be approximately a 20-minute drive back to Tijili Benoa. Although the hotel has an exclusive location and intimate atmosphere, it’s a convenient drive away from other tourist spots. This makes it a top choice when deciding where to stay in Bali!
