Enjoy the sun, sand, and splendour of Legian Beach

Make the most out of the minimal crowds and lower tides. It’s like the chill, low-key middle child between touristy Kuta and trendy Seminyak — and we’re all for it! In between swimming and exploring local shopping spots, opt for a sunbed or beanbag underneath the colourful parasols. Sit back and relax as you wait for the golden hour. If you have kids with you, they can even run around and play because the space is wide enough! Then at sunset, you can take a stroll along the shores or simply enjoy a yummy fruit shake as you take in the gorgeous view.

Legian Beach

Embark on water-filled adventures in Kuta Beach

Head over to Kuta Beach, which is just a 20-minute drive away. Many globetrotters and locals say it’s the most famous among all the Bali beaches! The sandy surface underneath the waters makes it an ideal (and relatively safe) surfing spot for beginners and experienced surfers alike. Though if surfing isn’t your thing, we recommend checking out Waterbom Bali! It’s the largest waterpark in Asia with many adrenaline-pumping activities for all ages. Indulge in the local dining scene

We love how the Legian food scene has a healthy mix of mid-range restaurants, upscale diners, and affordable local warungs. Whether you’re craving local dishes or international cuisine, there’s something for everyone. La Monde Restaurant offers great authentic Indonesian food — some locals claim they have the best satays and spring rolls in Bali! Alternatively, there’s Warung Kolega if you want to have a legit local meal. We had fun trying out their Javanese-style ‘buffet,’ where you point at your preferred freshly cooked dishes behind a glass window and they serve it right up.

Looking for something on the fancier side? Enjoy exquisite French Mediterranean cuisine in Metis. Meanwhile, Hitana is perfect if you want a five-star dining experience, topped off with ocean views, exotic cocktails, and a fine selection of European and Indonesian cuisine

Even when the sun is down, Bali is still very much brimming with life. From live music cafés, beachside lounges to nightclubs, we definitely enjoyed the vibrant nightlife here! You can find various establishments that are open until quite late at night (or early morning even).
